Pre Refinishing Preparation Steps
In order for us to provide you with the best possible experience, please be sure to dust and clean the work area before we arrive. This will help minimize the possibility of debris falling on the coating after it has been refinished. We will not be responsible for repairs resulting from foreign matter falling on the finish after it has been completed. Be sure to remove any loose items such as pictures, rugs and toiletries.
We will be using paper and plastic to protect the walls from overspray. In order for us to do this, we must use masking tape to fasten the paper and plastic to the walls. You (the client) will be responsible for removing this material no less than 24 hours after the job has been completed.
Please take your time when removing the masking.
It is important to have all water leaks repaired before we arrive. Although we are not plumbers, we will try to remove hardware such as handles and overflow covers. If we cannot remove them, we will mask them off so we can continue our process. You (the client) will be responsible for hardware replacement.
Our Terms
All jobs are COD (cash upon delivery); we accept cash, checks or money orders. Please make checks payable to Larry Cano. Final payment acknowledges acceptance of workmanship. There will be a $50 fee for any returned checks.
Our Warranty
San Diego Bathtub Refinishing Company warranties for a period of 3 years (three years) against the adhesion of the primer or finish during normal residential use. Scratching, de-glossing or staining due to use, cleaning procedures or water conditions will be considered normal wear and tear. We are not working in a 100% dust free environment and therefore cannot prevent dust from settling onto the newly refinished surface. During the first 90 days of surface conditioning, regular cleaning will remove or make the dust particles less noticeable. DO NOT PICK OR TRY TO REMOVE PARTICLES AS THIS MAY DAMAGE THE SURFACE. If a slip resistant surface is not installed, please use caution when entering and exiting your tub or shower, we are not responsible for accidents. We can install a slip resistant surface for an additional charge which is highly recommended. We will attempt repairs of corrosion or rust problems to the best of our ability. We cannot warranty against any future corrosion problems that may occur.
Failure of finish on wall tile or grout (due to recessed grout), is not covered under this warranty.
Items not covered under warranty are sinks, floors, tubs with rust or corrosion, or any commercial or rental property projects.
This warranty is subject to the following conditions:
- The warranty is non transferable.
- You must follow all care instructions given.
- Repair continuously leaking/dripping faucets.
- Maintain caulking where refinished tub meets tile walls.
- Do not use bath mats with suction cups.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- Do not bathe animals, as their claws may scratch or chip surface.
- Stains caused by hair dyes are not covered by this warranty.
- Damage caused by impact either accidentally or intentionally, is subject to repair charge.
